OmnisOva is an avian genetics company working with the global poultry industry.
We work across the whole spectrum — the bird and the egg — and we are interested in the egg’s full potential: as a food, as a medicine, and as a manufacturing system.
THE SCIENCE
Our starting point is the egg itself, and what it contains.
Understanding which proteins an egg carries, and what becomes possible when one of them is absent, is the foundation everything else builds on.

OUR WORK
Food.
A food the world already shares, opened up.
Egg allergy is one of the most common food allergies in early childhood worldwide. The ambition is inclusion: a food the world already shares, opened up to the people it has always left out.
The dominant allergen in egg is ovomucoid and our work is directed at developing a Ovomucoid (OVM) free egg that is low allergen.
Medicine.
The same facilities, the same method — a modified input.
Influenza and several other viral vaccines are predominantly manufactured in fertile eggs, and will continue to rely on eggs until alternative technologies become standard e.g. mRNA, cell-based or subunit.
An egg without the dominant allergen is an input to that system with improved production and quality of vaccines natural adjacency to our core work, and ones we are exploring.
Manufacture.
The humble chicken egg is already a manufacturing platform.
The egg is already a manufacturing platform. Vaccine production has relied on it for decades, and the industrial infrastructure exists at scale.
Longer term, the interesting question is what else that platform could make.
Better Birds.
Better eggs for a better world.
We are also investigating the use of genetic technologies for a range of outcomes, including improved disease resilience of poultry layer flocks.
Better science, better birds, better eggs.
These are directions, not limits. If you have an idea involving a bird or an egg, come and talk to us.
We challenge traditional thinking and pioneer the science to create better eggs for a better world, looking across the full avian ecosystem, changing what is possible.
Omnis – everyone’s. Ova – egg.
